Information meetings were held with the representatives of 17Offices of Governor and 15 General Directorates and all (position and attribute) data obtained have been integrated with the GIS.

Technical feasibility studies and surveys have been completed and the preliminary route corridor has been determined.
Geodesic studies have been carried out in consultation with the Gaziosmanpaşa University. Studies have been checked and approved by the Regional Land Registry and Cadaster Offices.

The GIS studies are being carried out in consultation with the Karadeniz Technical University. All (position and attribute) data produced and obtai-ned within the scope of the project have been integrated with the GIS.

Works on the GIS portal that will enable access to, analysis of, and making changes to, the data via the Internet are in progress.

Photogrammetric flights were performed over the flight corridor of 4 km along the route of the pipeline and 8,798 stereo images were taken. Photogrammetric studies were carried out in consultancy with the Selçuk University and academically analyzed and approved.

All underground facilities (existing gas and oil pipelines, underground cables, water ducts, etc.) along the route corridor were identified and measured. Coordinates and other attributes of these facilities have been recorded in a manner in compatible with the GIS system.

1,745 drill and trial pit were drilled along the route corridor. Collected samples were analyzed and data, comments and reports compiled. Geophysical measurements have been completed and reported.

103 major special crossings (river, highway, railway) have been identified along the route of the pipeline.

Engineering services are carried out by SEBAT Proje Mühendislik-Müşavirlik Ltd. Şti. In addition, consultancy services are received from 5 universities and 2 foreign consultancy firms within the scope of the project.

-Dardanelles Strait Crossing
The sea crossing in length of 17 kilometers has been designed with two 36-inch pipes.

Hydrography and oceanography studies of the Dardanelles Sea crossing of the pipeline have been completed.

The sea crossing and bathymetric map has been produced in consultation with the Yıldız Technical University.

The studies and reports have been approved by the Turkish Marine Forces Commandership, the Presidency of the Navigation Hydrography and Oceanography Department.
